For years I watched other people sail across oceans and told myself maybe one day. I'm 48. I decided I don't want to be watching anymore.

I'm not a pro. I'm going to learn to sail, get my licence, find the right boat and refit it. I'll write down all of it here, the decisions, the costs and the mistakes.
